It takes me ages to really understand what sabr means. Every time I told people about how tough the certain situation is, they responded "sabr". For me, that's underrated advice people could give. "Be positive", how possible a sad person could digest and implement this in a wrecking feelings of theirs? For me, it doesn't helping much.
By putting myself in their shoes, that was the last phrase I would hear from anybody. No matter how hard to accept it, it's actually what we have to understand. Be patient. Have sabr. Let's take a look this really closely.
Sabr is about submitting yourself to the Almighty. Through this submission you will learn to accept what's going on in your life and how to react upon it. Sabr doesn't mean to keep yourself quiet. If crying is what you want to do, just cry. Don't hold it back. Respect your own feelings. It's all fine to take some time to understand. Some things are better left unsaid.
Through submission, you slowly teach yourself to accept the fate. What's beyond your control is what you need to let go of. We're not god. We're weak creatures. We don't have powers to take control everything. So, let go by the flow.
With sabr you're going to teach yourself on enduring the pain you've been through. Have sabr, take yourself out from what bothering you. Fix what you need to fix especially in moulding you to become a better person.
Every single things is going through a process either a long or short one. It is still a process. A process that you can't speed up but, the catalyst in the forms of energy that you have to channel it in the right way while undergoing the circumstances. The catalyst generates your positive energy to keep going and doing your bestest!
Sabr, voice it out to Allah, He is listening. Always listen. If by sabr will reward us a home in Jannah, why would we have to miss this chance, right? Remember that life is a temporary platform to live in. The constant tests will be given. To earn Jannah, we need to put our hard works for it. Keep doing your best, Allah sees everything. Nothing will ever be gone to waste. Keep striving.
Remember the words of the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “How wonderful is the affair of the believer, for his affairs are all good, and this applies to no one but the believer. If something good happens to him, he is thankful for it and that is good for him. If something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience and that is good for him.” (Narrated by Muslim, 2999).
